Ideas from the humanities
turned into experiences.

To understand them through practice and put them to use.

Three kinds of experience.

Urban Humanities Actions
real spaces

Actions

Ideas from the humanities applied to real spaces

For each idea from the humanities, I have created a specific transformation to apply to urban space.

Each transformation corresponds to a specific action: connecting points, imagining structures, or mentally changing shapes found in a place.

The actions are collected in guides that explain what to do and let you repeat the experience in different places.

Reality does not change physically: for a few seconds, you apply the transformation associated with that idea.

Duration: a few seconds.

Journeys

Here, the transformation really happens

Journeys use the same principle as Urban Humanities Actions, bringing it into first-person video games.

Here, you do not have to imagine the transformation: as you move through a place, reality actually changes according to an idea from the humanities.

Each journey brings together a place, an idea and a transformation. Journeys take place in San Francisco, Paris, Cesenatico, Milan, Naples, Agrigento, Tokyo, on the Moon and elsewhere.

Duration: less than 3 minutes.

IDEAS

Ideas from the humanities turned into short experiences

Short video games and interactive experiences that let you experience an idea from the humanities in practice.

After exploring an idea in theory, you can experience it directly through a simple interaction.

There are 19 experiences dedicated to 14 thinkers, including Plato, Pascal, McLuhan, Popper, Bentham, Barthes and Bergson.

Duration: less than a minute.
